The Python class provides logic for installing Python-based packages.
The following is a list of parameters that may be used to install Python packages.
PYTHON_PKG: Name of the Python package. This is the name that is used with the Python import statement.
PYTHON_PKG_FILES: List of package files to be installed in the target file system python site-packages PYTHON_PKG directory.
PYTHON_PKG_FILES_DIR: Directory where the PYTHON_PKG_FILES are found. Defaults to FETCHER_EXTRACT_DIRECTORY_NAME.
PYTHON_EXE_FILES: List of files to be installed in the target file system usr binaries directory.
PYTHON_SETUP_SCRIPT: For packages that use distutils.core.setup, the path to the setup.py script.
Value: "$(FETCHER_EXTRACT_DIRECTORY_NAME)/setup.py".
PYTHON_SETUP_INSTALL_RECORD: For packages that use distutils.core.setup, the path to file to record the list of installed files.
Value: "$(FETCHER_EXTRACT_DIRECTORY_NAME)/installed_files.txt".
The following is a list of private parameters that are recommended not to be modified.
PYTHON_SITE_PACKAGES: The directory on the host computer where site packages are to be installed.
PYTHON_SCRIPT_DIR: The directory on the host computer where executable files are installed. Typically it is /usr/bin in the target file system.
