Auvidea J100 board Introduction

This wiki page provides useful instructions to start using the Auvidea J100 board for Jetson TX1. J100 provides access to the 6 two-lanes CSI ports available on Jetson TX1 module. This carrier board has:

  • Two 4 lanes CSI-2 connectors.
  • Two 2 lanes CSI-2 connectors.
  • Micro SD card.
  • 2 USB3 type A.
  • UART 0.
  • Two I2S digital audio.
  • Fan connector.
  • Mini HDMI out.
  • UART, Gb Ethernet, I2C, USB2, SATA, 4x PCIe and CAN.
  • Power 12V.

Jetson TX1 CSI ports and I2C mapping on Auvidea J100

CSI-A    2 lanes    I2C bus 0
CSI-B    2 lanes    I2C bus 2
CSI-CD   4 lanes    I2C bus 0
CSI-EF   4 lanes    I2C bus 2

The labels for the CSI-A and CSI-B are inverted. Check the following image:

The port inside the green rectangle is the CSI-A and the port inside the purple rectangle is the CSI-B. As you can see, the labels are swapped.

Auvidea J100 and the Toshiba TC358743

The Toshiba TC358743 is an HDMI 1.4 to MIPI CSI-2 1.01 bridge chip capable of handling video data up to 1080P at 60 fps. RidgeRun developed the Linux driver for it and tested in the J100 carrier board. You can find the information for the TC358743 in the following link:

This chip was tested using the Auvidea B101 and B102 modules. In the case of the J100 board the B101 module can be used for the CSI-A and CSI-B ports. The B102 module can be used for the CSI-EF and CSI-CD ports.
