In this section, you are going to learn about the carrier boards currently available for the Orin Nano SoM.

The carrier board is the piece of hardware that adds the physical interfaces to the SoM, the Orin SoM is connected to the carrier board using its 260-SODIMM connector. Many customers start evaluating the Jetson SoMs using the developer kits offered by NVIDIA, and then once they have determined that this SoM meets their project requirements they proceed to design their custom carrier board or choose one of the carrier boards available in the market. The SoM is pin compatible with the Orin NX which makes the selection easier. Some examples are:

• NVIDIA developer kit is the carrier board offered by NVIDIA as the Orin Nano developer kit. Figure 1 shows NVIDIA's developer kit for the Orin:
